Our mission is to serve the charitable endeavors of the Summerlin Rotary Club and our community – focusing on food insecurity among neighbors, our local schools, pre-K education, and veterans’ welfare.
The Summerlin Rotary Foundation is the 501c3 non-profit arm of the Summerlin Rotary Club, which has been donating hundreds of thousands of dollars and providing countless volunteer hours to the Summerlin community for more than a quarter century.
The Summerlin Rotary Foundation is raising tax-deductible donations to purchase BOOK VENDING MACHINES in local elementary schools, where reading scores for third graders are at crisis levels. Businesses like Raising Canes can invest in an entire machine or half shares and proudly have their logos permanently viewed by teachers, students, parents, and guests. Each machine costs $6,500.
Companies and individuals can donate any amount toward a machine and be acknowledged by a permanent honor roll on its side.

For the past two years, the Summerlin Rotary Foundation and club have sponsored a monthly POP-UP MARKET at Cimmaron High School, where more than 200 family vehicles queue up each time to receive groceries that would cost more than $100 at the store. The variety always includes fruits, vegetables, meats or fish and an array of canned and boxed staples.

The Summerlin Rotary’s
Mardi Gras Gala party on Saturday, Feb 22 at the JW Marriott is our largest annual fundraiser with proceeds financing year-round charitable activities throughout our community.

The foundation, in partnership with Community in Schools (CIS) and local businesses, finances book vending machines placed in local elementary schools as an incentive for students to read and build their home libraries.
The foundation raises funds to finance a monthly pop-up food distribution market year-round. More than 2,500 families a year receive upwards of $200 each in groceries every month.
The foundation has hosted a golf tournament and a golf ball drop to raise funds for multiple veterans’ organizations that focus on physically and psychologically disabled veterans in our community.
The foundation supports the Summerlin Rotary Club’s commitment to educating
our community about the ravages of child and teen exploitation.
The foundation is dedicated to working with leaders across our community to identify and assess our most pressing challenges, bringing diverse voices together to build strategies and programs to address key priorities.
The foundation works with local elementary, middle and high schools to fund programs not addressed by the Clark County School District. These range from tickets to cultural events to providing athletic supplies and robotics equipment.
